Explosion Proof Electric Hoists
We offer the Verlinde range of explosion and spark proof hoists and work closely with clients to provide the most appropriately rated lifting solution for their intended application, in diverse fields such as the food industry, chemical, petrol and gas industries, and any environment where safety in production is paramount.
This electric wire rope and chain hoist range of ATEX lifting equipment is made according to the new ATEX 100a (94/09/CE applicable in 2003) standards & CE regulations (CE marking, Documentation, CE certificate approval). As required by ATEX 100a directive, equipment is classified into 5 categories according to level of explosion risk in working area.
Explosion Proof Manual Hoists
Providing a lifting capacity range of 500kg to 20,000kg, the VHR explosion and sparkproof manual chain hoist is the explosion proof (EX) equivalent of the standard industrial VHR manual chain hoist and has the same compact design, delivering safety with a reduced weight.
The VHR EX is available with either galvanised or stainless steel chain, ATEX Marking: Ex II 2GD c IIC T4 T+135°C and is suitable for gas and dust hazardous areas, in zones 1 and 2, 21 and 22 hazardous areas
The hand chain is stainless steel 3169 as standard, the hooks are bronze coated and the body boasts a high-resistance RAL9006 aluminium-type powder coated finish, 70μ thick.
Explosion Proof Trolleys
The Verlinde CHD and CHDD Explosion Proof Push Travel Trolleys can be used with any type of manual equipment that is fitted with a hook and have a lifting capacity from 250kg to 10,000kg.
The CHD manual trolley is manoeuvred by a push action to move the load, whilst the CHDD is manoeuvred by a handwheel and handchain and they both have an ATEX marking of Ex II 2 GD c IIC T4 T + 135.
Both types of these ATEX rated manual trolleys are easily adjustable to fit up to 300mm beams (over 300mm on request) and the trolley flanges are made of heavy-duty steel for durability.
